Nine.

Found this quote while procrastinating about my paper.
Made me think. Maybe it'll do the same for you.

-D

"Every girl is expected to have caucasian blue eyes,
full Spanish lips, a classic button nose,
hairless Asian skin with a California tan,
a Jamaican dance hall ass, long Swedish legs,
small Japanese feet, the abs of a lesbian gym owner,
the hips of a nine-year-old boy,
the arms of Michelle Obama and doll tits.

The person closest to actually achieving
this look is Kim Kardashian, who, as we know,
was made by Russian scientists to
sabotage our athletes.
Everyone else is struggling."

Closet.

Hello beautiful people.
So I just removed all my summer clothes from my closet and dresser
& replaced them with my fall/winter clothes that I had stored away.
The closet went from colourful and vibrant to monotone and elegant.
What can I say, my blacks and greys always
come out when the weather gets colder.
I love me some dark and mysterious.

P.S. remember my post about online shopping?
Well here is one of the things I've been waiting for:
My new black booties!

Bought them from shoedazzle where I had a
lovely e-mail discount (so my shipping was free)
on top of them being 30% off!
The style gods were definitely shining down on me that day.

New Venture.

I always feel a certain amount of anxiety and
fear when I sign up for something new.
Today I took a step, made a commitment, and experienced the
joy of something great coming into fruition.
I finally feel like I have someone who can help guide me in a
direction where I can find my niche - my something.
Cheers to dreams coming true.

Gladiator.

Today I learned that because I am left handed I would
have had an advantage had I been an ancient gladiator in Rome.
Success!

P.S. here are some of my photos from this past weekend.

Lasagna & white wine sangria
with my favourite person.

Wrote my GRE in the early
morning on Saturday.

Bought a new jacket from Lulu lemon
to get me through the rain.

My poor old lady hurt her hip and was stuck
sleeping downstairs under her blankie.

Swanky Silk by China Glaze
to start the week.
(thanks Gee!)

Hope you have a great week everyone!

Shopper.

Why do I buy things online?
So that there's always something to look forward to.

Studious.

This is such an accurate representation of my life right now.

Failure.

Just like I promised, here is the first "quote" of the blog. I put quote in brackets because it isn't really a quote. It is a list of failures. How pray tell does this help anyone you may ask? Well personally I have great respect for those who have failed and then gone on to triumph. This particular compilation was much needed for me because I've just entered what I like to call midterm madness. It gives me hope that even if I don't do well on an exam it really isn't the end of the world. If anything it's just a tiny drop in the bucket of what is my life. I know, I know, very cliche, but you'll appreciate it I think.

First time.

The first blog post is said to be one of the most important ones a blogger will ever do.
It's supposed to be about introductions and establishing the very core of the blog.
I find it scary to have to commit myself to just one niche.
There are so many facets to who I am and what I am passionate about.
But because I feel that I have to follow some sort of etiquette let's begin with a brief hello.

Hello.
My name is Dagmara and I am a first time blogger.
I love fashion, tea and scones. I have an addiction to painting my nails.
I love reality television but I have a weakness for good books.
I'm 21 and in my last year of my undergrad degree.
Freud is my favourite psychologist and I don't care what anyone thinks of that.
I have a new found love for pinterest and one of my favourite things to pin are recipes.
Ironically I don't really cook but I would love to learn once I get over my fear of the oven/stove.

I started this blog so that I can have a place to spew my random thoughts and to share things that I have found or learned. You can expect quotes to pop up constantly (In fact the next blog after this will likely be based on a quote). The name of the blog is really a representation of my life. There are times of complete chaos when I'm busy and overworked and then there are those times that bring balance back into my life and turn into memories. So with that said, let's make some memories together.
