Saint George Sparkles

Hello lovelies.

Today I have a super beautiful polish from a england called Saint George.
It's an amazing teal colour that has super tiny shimmery holo sparkles.
This is a must buy. Pictures do not even begin to show how perfect this colour is.
I didn't want my nail art to outshine the polish so I kept it simple by just
adding Razzmatazz by Top Shop to the tips
(this is another must buy, opaque and super duper sparkly).
Now go ahead and take a looks see, and let me know what you think.

Happy Monday!

Aphrodite Lacquer Super Nova + Stripes

Hello Lovelies!

So I received a polite nudge from my good friend In Jeeb We Trust to finally use my Super Nova by Aphrodite Lacquer on my nails.
I began with a good coat of Essie- Licorice as a base colour because I was afraid super nova was going to be too thick and because I wanted to focus on the glitter in the polish rather than focus on the opacity. Afterwards I decided to add a little kick and added a line of white, black and a line of color club - fashion addict.

These were lot's of fun, but a bit time consuming.
I'm thinking super nova would make an interesting base for galaxy nails.
That's all for now! If you have any suggestions for some nail art you'd like me to try please feel free to comment!

Simple Center V Mani

Hey everyone!

This time I decided to use Maybelline - Wine and Dined from their colour show collection as my base colour and Sally Hansen - Grape Going! for the V. This was my first time using both of these colours as they have just been waiting to be used for months now. I love the colour of Wine and Dined but I have to say the colour pay off sucks. I had to do 2 decent coats for this mani and had I wanted to use it just on it's own I feel like I would have had to have done about 3-4 coats. But for this, because it was going to be mostly covered, it didn't really bother me. Grape Going! is actually pretty amazing. It is a duo chrome that goes from purple to blue depending on the light. It doesn't have a lot of shimmer though and it tended to stay blue in most light. Take a look at the photos to compare. But this would still look great on it's own. I also think it could be a fun stamp colour. All in all, I'm happy with how it turned out.

Feel free to sound off in the comments section & to post requests!

French Tip Twist

Hey lovelies!

Things have been good on my end, I hope everything is well on yours.
For this post I felt like doing something with Essie's - Lion Around.
This is a really dainty shade of pink. I think it would be perfect if you're looking for a Valentine's day polish. Or if you're just a fan of pink in general.
It's not garish or over the top. It's very subtle and sweet.
To spice it up I added a white french tip but after i did it it just felt like I should push it a little more so I added zig zags. I love the way it looks although I did notice a gap on my middle finger when I took the picture
which is strange because you can't really see it on my digits.
Oh well. You're just going to have to trust that they look snazzy in person.

Expect my next post some time at the end of the week!

piCture pOlish Aphrodisiac

Hello lovelies!

So i realized that I forgot to ask you what you thought of the new layout.
Do you like the font? Is it hard to read?
Personally I like it because I have a weakness for cursive and it just
looks like I wrote a letter in perfect form.
But the audience has a voice too so please let me know what you think!

Let's bring the focus back to the nail art.
I choose to use Aphrodisiac by piCture pOlish
because I had just ordered it not too long ago and I was dying to see what it looked like.
This colour is really fun. It changes, depending on the lighting, from a
deep rich purpley plum to a deep dark navy.
I was surprised at how little shimmer there was once I applied it since the
bottle has tiny little shimmers but I didn't care because the final colour was great.
Then, because I really wanted to use my stamper, I put one
large white kiss on each of my ring fingers.
It is called aphrodisiac after all.

I don't if you've ever noticed but on my left hand I have a 'reptile nail' (or so I choose to call it) that's all ridged and bumpy because I got it caught in something.
The other day I did the same thing to my other middle finger and now it seems to be transforming as well.
If you know of any good ridge filling base coats let me know!!

Dorothy by piCture pOlish

Hey!

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their weekends!
I had to go get my flu shot today and let me start off by saying that I am not a fan of needles. I'm usually sitting in the chair waiting for my turn and having a mini anxiety attack. I remember one time I had gone to our family doctor and we were waiting in the lobby for a while and I literally almost ran out because I was so anxious. This time I went in a little calmer, no real waiting around and luckily the lady was well trained. HOWEVER, my entire right arm (psstt I'm left handed) has been sooooo sore and tender the entire day. Tender to the point of almost being numb.
But I promised myself I'd blog tonight, so I took some advil, drank some tea, and
focused on using only my left hand.

In any case, here's something I did about a week ago.
This is Dorothy by piCture pOlish.
This is basically a part of my soul shrunk down and placed in a bottle.
The amount of shimmer and glam these nails give is amazing.
The bottle definitely has more golden flecks then when it's on the nails.
On me it had way more pink shimmer. But that didn't bother me.
It literally looked like Dorothy's red shoes.
And it has a really cool texture, I'm thinking Zoya's new collection will have
the same feel - slightly sandy but not rough at all.

Let me know what you think!

Charlize by Zoya

Hello lovelies.

So here's something a little different for you
I basically fell in love with Charlize by Zoya the moment I saw the swatch.
I don't know why but I've been craving it for about 2 months now.
So I finally gave in and I wanted to share.
I really like this shade. It's like a very milky latte.
Formula as usual was great but it did take 3 coats to get this opaque.
I felt like my fingers looked so skinny when I had it on. Even the boyfriend liked it.

December Nails 2012 Theme 11: Inspired by Fireworks

Hey everyone!

So here it is, the last one!
I can't believe I made it through with only one theme accidentally forgotten.
I feel like this past month was definitely a hardcore introduction to blogging for me.
But I'm so glad I set out the goal and achieved it.
This theme was a lot of fun.
I wanted something flashy and festive because I knew I wanted
to end the year with a banging manicure.
I started off with a base of China Glaze - Midtown Magic
I love this polish, it looks so beautiful just on it's own.
Then I topped it off with stripes of both
Color Club - Cloud Nine and Top Shop - Razzmatazz
fanning out from my cuticles.
I was super duper happy with the results so I hope you like it.
Please feel free to comment and follow my blog!
