7 Deadly Sins Challenge: Day 13

Hey there.
How is everyone? I’m doing alright. Just happy it’s Friday. I’ve been cleaning the house today and I needed a break, so I wanted to share what I did for the 13th day of the Seven Deadly Sins Challenge. (This is the final sin people! I only have one more look after this.) The prompt for this look was: “Recreate your own work to make it even better.”  I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for this one but I ended up choosing this look that I did wayyyy back in December. I really loved what I did and I thought the photos did it justice, but looking back I have to say I’m very angry with myself for not using my actual camera sooner. In any case, here’s the recreated look:

I wanted to stick with the same polishes that I used the first time I did this look, so I once again used China Glaze – Midtown Magic as my base. Then I used my midlength brush and added Color Club – Cloud Nine.

I was going to just use Topshop – Razzmatazz like last time but I recently bought
Essie – Set in Stones and I figured it was the perfect time to use it.
So I used Set in Stones first and then I added Razzmatazz to give it more sparkle.

I’m really glad I chose to recreate this look.
I loved the finished look when I did it the first time and I loved it now too.
I just kept telling the boyfriend: “Look! So sparkly! I love it.”
I think I might end up recreating some of my older looks just because this turned out so nicely.
Well that’s all for now friends. I’ll see you on the flip side.

7 Deadly Sins Challenge: Day 6

Happy Friday!
I have yet another Deadly Sins Post for you all. I’m very surprised that I’ve been able to keep up with all these.
I for sure thought I’d get lost in the manicure madness.
In any case, we’re onto the second day of Greed & the prompt was:
“Remember, More is More... Don't hold yourself back!”
So I went for it: I did a gradient, I stamped, and I used glitter. And here’s the result:

I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Jade Jump and Mint Sprint (at least I think it’s Mint Sprint. I lost the little sticker with the name & after searching the internet everything that came up Mint Sprint matches my bottle) for the gradient.

I stamped using A England – Saint George & plate BM 301. Then I used a brush and applied Top Shop – Razzmatazz in between some of the lines.

What do you think friends? Let me know in the comments section.
Remember to check out the other ladies manicures too!
Next up: Mother’s day mani. See you soon!

A Blu Easter

Hello again.
Just wanted to do a quick post about the nails I wore for Easter weekend.
I was helping my mom out with cleaning and such so they took a bit of a
beating before I actually got around to posting so
they're not perfect (but hopefully you can forgive me).

I used Zoya - Blu for the base colour.
I put a coat of Topshop - Razzmatazz on my ring fingers.
& the dots were created using A England - Saint George
Color Club - Eternal Beauty & Zoya - Edyta.

Overall my Easter weekend was good, spent it mostly with family.
My favourite part was seeing my little goddaughter.
She has so much zest and energy.
She also told me I have beautiful hair & that she thought my nails were pretty.
*insert blushing Dagmara here*
How could you not love a kid like that?

Hope you all had a great weekend and if you're lucky enough
to still have the day off tomorrow, like I do, I hope you spend it wisely.
I'll probably be on my bike again somewhere enjoying the sunshine.

Until next time,

Saint George Sparkles

Hello lovelies.

Today I have a super beautiful polish from a england called Saint George.
It's an amazing teal colour that has super tiny shimmery holo sparkles.
This is a must buy. Pictures do not even begin to show how perfect this colour is.
I didn't want my nail art to outshine the polish so I kept it simple by just
adding Razzmatazz by Top Shop to the tips
(this is another must buy, opaque and super duper sparkly).
Now go ahead and take a looks see, and let me know what you think.

Happy Monday!

December Nails 2012 Theme 11: Inspired by Fireworks

Hey everyone!

So here it is, the last one!
I can't believe I made it through with only one theme accidentally forgotten.
I feel like this past month was definitely a hardcore introduction to blogging for me.
But I'm so glad I set out the goal and achieved it.
This theme was a lot of fun.
I wanted something flashy and festive because I knew I wanted
to end the year with a banging manicure.
I started off with a base of China Glaze - Midtown Magic
I love this polish, it looks so beautiful just on it's own.
Then I topped it off with stripes of both
Color Club - Cloud Nine and Top Shop - Razzmatazz
fanning out from my cuticles.
I was super duper happy with the results so I hope you like it.
Please feel free to comment and follow my blog!

oh! and if you're looking for more nail blogs please check out In Jeeb We Trust.
One of my dearest friends just started her own personal nail blog
so give her some love and check her out.
She's also been featured on my blog before so you know she has good nail taste!
